‘Twas a sunny summer’s day when two girls decided to explore their beautiful city. .

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetFound a lovely Pohutukawa tree. This is a native New Zealand tree that bears bright red flowers signalling Christmas time!

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 presetNorth Head Beach is located at the base of the mountain. We found this little rock pool hidden behind the sandy beach. It was impossible to resist the cool sloshy ocean, especially when the sun was melting us.

We left early in the morning and took the 8am ferry. It was a day very well spent. If you happen to be in New Zealand, I recommend you plan a day trip to Devonport!
