Granola & Frozen Berries : Five Second Breakfast

We all know what it’s like to wake up craving a quick, cosy, nutritious and yummy breakfast while being too tired (and lazy) to make pancakes, fry an egg or even put bread in the toaster. On those days, I do one of three things:

  1. Eat Weet-Bix Bites out of the box,
  2. Chuck granola, frozen fruit and milk into a bowl, or
  3. Go back to bed.

no, I’m not going to write a post about my adventures waking up and immediately resuming my slumber.

The combo of crunchy granola, ice cold milk, and the flavour bursts/ice cubes that are frozen fruits is a healthy and delicious meal/snack that can be put together by simply dumping everything into a bowl and enjoying. This fast and filling breakfast is perfect for both a calm morning on the couch with a book, and a hectic morning trying to rush out the door.

I love Carman’s muesli (original “flavour”), as well as their muesli bars. The Aussie brand’s stuff not only tastes great, but everything in it is wholesome and natural (and, unlike all other organic/natural foods in Singapore, doesn’t cost a fortune).
My frozen fruit of choice are blueberries, as they’re cheaper than other berries, are bite-sized, and taste amazing when frozen. I also add a splash of soy milk, but only a splash- or else everything gets soggy and I gag a little in my soul.
