From an awesome primer to an awesome sci-fi-fantasy RPG YouTube series, June brought some great things into my life

and here are ten of them.

A good oversized tee is there for you when you want comfort, style, and comfort.
So much comfort.
Versatile and available at a very good price, this $15 men’s tee has become a beloved closet staple.
To see this shirt in action, make sure you stay tuned over on trf, where some exciting videos styling this shirt are coming your way!

The relaxed fit and light fabric makes these pants appropriate for summer, while the smart colours and striped detail make these pants kick ass in the summer. A perfect crossover of formal and casual, I have gotten so much use out of this pair of wrinkly pants that I almost walked past in store.
It’s grabbing and trying items that you wouldn’t normally pick up that makes shopping far more fun and worthwhile. Occasionally you’ll come across something that you really like, and the fact that it’s different from your existing wardrobe is how your style evolves and becomes more unique.

Finding the Furniture Foundation for Your Space

DIY, Life

Our environment can greatly affect how we feel and perform our daily tasks. Sometimes our surroundings can feel dull, falling behind our current passions, pursuits and lacking inspiration.
Giving your space- whether that’s your bedroom, study or living room- a revamp to supply good vibes and healthy inspiration is soothing for the soul (well, once it’s done, anyway).

It all starts with a good foundation. Where your furniture is placed determines the accessibility and available uses for that room. For example, my double bed was taking up 50% of my small Singapore apartment bedroom, so getting a smaller bed opened up the space, allowing me to now practice dance and workout in my room, actually encouraging me to exercise. The newfound open-ness of the space also makes my mind feel free-er, like there’s more room to breathe.

Here are three steps to get the foundation of your room just right:

Classroom Doodles

Art & Photography

I’m all for paying attention in class, but if my in-class interest is ever beginning to waver, you better hope there isn’t a pen in my hand or else someone’s ’bout to break out the doodles up in this bitch.
Here are a few of my best moments in spontaneous art (and poorest moments classroom performance) from the past year!

Basics of a Realistic Eye

Art & Photography

Ten minutes worth of basic realistic-eye-sketching in three minutes with ten tips to help your own realistic-eye-sketching. [+ woo two videos in a row!]

This quick sketch was done with a cheap and simple black ball-point pen (Stabilo bille 508N) and paper. This isn’t the most complex, accurate or realistic eye, but I wanted to share how fast and simple creating a realistic eye can be if you include the right components, shapes, proportions and shadings.

The Little Things

Life, Loves

Sometimes, we let lots of “big things” fill up so much our lives, or allow little things to inflate so big that we lose sight and become ignorant of the many little things we are ever so blessed to have. Here are the “little” things I’ve learned to appreciate the most recently, albeit they sit with many other things considered necessities to contemporary human existence and survival not-mentioned-but-still-appreciated.

Friends who can make me laugh, and who I can make laugh too.

It’s a connection not always found, a connection that’s missing when we first meet people, the reason friends are nice to be around, the reason I would occasionally rather not talk to strangers, sometimes the only reason I smile. (ooft deep).

Top 3 Playlists for Studying & Relaxing

Life, Loves

For me, working hard in the gym calls for dubstep, and working on household tasks needs some pop or electronic beats. The work of the mind, however, needs something different.
Whether I’m writing an essay, drawing the graph of a line, reading a book, or simply relaxing, here are my top three playlists to get me in the mood and in the zone:

Artist radio: Vance Joy
On Vance Joy’s Spotify profile ☞ click (…)  ☞  start artist radio
Featuring the likes of Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men and Vance Joy himself, this “radio station” is full of indie folk vibes that sooth the soul (and make you question whether you’re listening to happy music or sad). These tunes have a bit more body and jam-factor than the next two playlists, but are still light enough to be able to focus with. (I find, for example, that Sam Smith tracks are too dynamic for studying, despite their chill factor).

Top Stuff: December

Fashion, Loves

Some things are just better than others. I found some of those things during the month of December. From slip on shoes to DanAndPhilGames, here they are- in stop motion.

Much love & God bless,

(Pssst; what’s something you found to be particularly above average during the month of December? Also, did you see something you’d like to try?)
